Kodiak Imagination Library
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Kodiak.
It sounds too simple to be true, but ready regularly to your children from birth you are giving them the biggest boost toward success.
Kodiak Imagination Library will send age‐appropriate FREE books to your mailing address every month until your child turns five (5) years old.
Local donations provide the funding for books and shipping.

Kodiak Head Start
A place for children to learn, make friends, and have fun!
Children who will be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1st are eligible for our program. Families who have children with disabilities are encouraged to apply. This program is FREE, however, families must meet some eligibility requirements. Meals and bus service provided!

Our mission is for all children to fully participate in age‐appropriate natural environments.
Our vision is to create a warm, welcoming environment where we can teach children and families to love to learn by continually adjusting and adapting to meet their needs. Alutiingcut Child Care Center
7:30 AM – 5:30 PM | M-F | Year Round
Alitiingcut is a state licensed preschool with extended care, that provides kindergarten prep through play based education, social/emotional, cultural, cognitive, fine/gross motor learning.
- Enrolling all Kodiak children
- Ages 3-5 years old and potty trained
- All subsidy is accepted
Students will be learning about the Alutiiq culture through music, dance, artwork, stories and much more while preparing for Kindergarten!
